Every season brings new ideas, but the best trends are the ones that make a wedding feel more personal. Here is what we are seeing and designing for luxury weddings in Texas as we plan for 2026 and 2027, with examples from our own recent work.

1. Bold, Saturated Color

After years of all-neutral palettes, couples are choosing one confident color and committing to it: deep burgundy, true red, or a crisp black-and-white contrast. See our burgundy chateau editorial and Mitra & Aliakbar’s black, white and red wedding.

2. Celebrating Culture, Fully

More couples are honoring their heritage with dedicated ceremonies, traditional attire and music, rather than a single nod during the reception. Two-ceremony days, like Kofi & Alanna’s, need careful timing, and they are some of the most joyful weddings we plan.

3. Custom Lighting and Bespoke Pieces

Custom lamps, monogrammed details and one-of-a-kind décor make a large room feel intimate and give guests something they have never seen before. For Mmesoma & Sean, we designed bespoke table lamps that gave every table its own glow.

4. Lush, Garden-Gathered Florals

Long floral runners, varied heights and blooms that look freshly gathered: hydrangea, garden roses, ranunculus and greenery spilling across the table.

5. Destination Weddings with a Texas Planner

Couples are marrying in London, Europe and beyond while keeping a planner they trust at home. One point of contact for the whole team makes planning across time zones far simpler. Read how we planned Ruta & Yusuf’s London wedding.

6. Entertainment That Feels Like an Experience

Live string quartets during dinner, special performances and color moments are replacing the standard DJ-only night. The goal is to give guests memorable moments throughout the evening.

Planning a 2026 or 2027 wedding in Houston, Austin, Dallas or San Antonio? Épris Events would love to help you design something entirely your own.
